Who is Tom?

Look, so I have a website all about me. I don’t want to lie, I’m a little embarrassed by it. I decided not to write this in the third person because you know it’s me writing anyway, so I’m not going to pretend that someone else decided to write my bio, or that I have some team of low-paid assistants to help me. I am my own low-paid assistant.

Anyway, who am I? I am a guy who loves Jesus who loves telling people about Jesus. I have been working in youth ministry for the past sixteen years and may keep going for another sixteen. I currently have a day job where I speak to thousands of young people about Jesus every year, it’s pretty great! I’ve been privileged to get to speak at many youth groups, camps, conferences and churches. I even preached in a corn field in Kenya once, many corn cobs experienced significant life change as a result.

I have written a book about all the rude bits of the Bible, which will hopefully be published sometime in 2017. My current game plan is get rejected by a bunch of publishers then self-publish and bully my friends into buying copies so I feel good about myself.

I made this website so that if people want to access my preaching, my blog, or the Bible studies I’ve written, they’re all in one place. If you want to book me to speak at an event, you can do that too. Eventually, you will be able to buy my book here too. One day I might also sell merchandise with my face on it because first, you get a website, then you think you’re a rock star, it’s an inevitable slide into self-indulgence.

I have an excellent wife, and I live in Sydney.

You can follow me on Facebook and Instagram if you’d like too.
